I have been working pretty hard tyring to come up with good ideas for the new web design. I started off with something fairly complex, and then decided that I wanted to go with something a bit more plain.
Here are the links to the two different ideas I have. Don’t mind their plainness, as I have yet to finish making the template engine information for them. I also need to give them some more information, but as templates, they seem fairly decent.

All feedback would be appreciated. Thanks,

I am starting a new session at DeVry University. The course I am taking this session is GSP130: System Architecture and Assembler. I will post some nifty assembly code if I can find the time. Otherwise I will stick mostly to creating more tutorials for XNA and other languages/frameworks.
If you are coming to this blog from the GSP program at DeVry, I welcome you. I also apologize for the delays in getting everything up and running smoothly. Give me a little bit and things will look right.

[New Age Expressionism]
This afternoon while I was working, I noticed that one of my co-workers had been messing around with some of the lumber I had stacked up on one of my pallets. I also noticed that it looked vaguely familiar…

I then compared it to:

And then I realized that one of my co-workers was a new age expressionist. He thinks I was joking when I said I would blog about it, but alas, I never kid about such things. Hope you enjoy!

The first thing I really need to figure out is a new color scheme and logo for Red Satori. I have a few ideas I have jotted down in my sketch book for the purpose of a logo. I should be getting to that in the next day or so. I want it to be fairly simple, while at the same time showing the complexity of both myself and what I do.
As to color schemes, since I have red in my site’s name, I am thinking of using a dark red color on the site. I am thinking that a black and dark red combination would be fairly useful, and it would allow me to change the entire look of what I am doing, without really having to change too much of the content to do so.
I will be rebuilding the forums from scratch as well, in order to make it easier to use from my perspective. This will most likely take some time, and I will be adding features to the forums as I deem it necessary. While using a pre-made forum solution will remove a lot of the headaches, I don’t have nearly as much control over what is going on with those that I would like to have.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all who are concerned.

I have recently switched over to a new hosting service and registrar for all of my domains. While I was originally going to just copy everything over to the new host, I have decided to redesign the entirety of both sites from scratch. Please check back for more information on the progress this is taking, as well as to have a chance to offer input on various design choices I may be putting up for users to decide upon.
Thanks,
Jim
